About this course
A course for discovering the versatile joy of painting with Acrylics. Suitable for all levels of ability with gradual and complete instructions every step of the way for each project. Each project will begin with a drawing and exploring techniques session to prepare you for creating the artwork. Projects may run for 1-2 weeks. You will be provided step-by-step demonstrations, to be followed by you in stages. There will be time to create and reflect on your progress, with the tutor and each other. A short break will take place halfway through for 10mins, which will give you time to chat with each other and grab a cupper (please bring a flask). Main form of communication and sharing of learning resources, such as visual references, etc.. will be sent via email. Learning resources can be downloaded to your smart phone/ tablet, or printed and bought along to sessions. If this is not possible, please contact the tutor and she will print handouts for a small fee. Classes are joyful whilst learning the extraordinary flexibility of Acrylic painting. In the first week, we will be exploring Acrylic techniques with Heavy Gesso. |
